Donald J. Russell (1952-1964) Ran the Show of of the Southern Pacific Company from 1952 t0 1964. The Southern Pacific Company was previously known as the Southern Pacific Railroad (1865-1885) and the Southern Pacific Transportation Company prior to that.

Here is another Employee Schedule from the Union Pacific, also known as the UP. This schedule, while not as old as the one from last week, is still quite dated. Here is the Wyoming Division.
I realize that some of my file sizes are extremely large. While I do what I can to keep them as small as possible, it is extremely difficult to reduce them much without loosing quality. I recently posted the Septa Employee Schedules from the 1980’s and attempted to reduce the file size my converting the scanned images to 150 dpi. Needless to say, I was not happy with the results. They are difficult on the eye to read.
While I realize that file size is a priority, I feel that good quality is more of a priority. If you can’t read them, they are useless. That said, all future schedules will be posted as 300 dpi images, unless they can be converted lower without sacrificing readability. If any schedule will be an unusually large file size, I will break it down into sections.
In keeping my promise to include items from outside my home area of the Northeast, I have posted a Union Pacific Employee Timetable from 1955. This one is of the Kansas Division.
Here are some unique train schedules from the past.
SEPTA issued one and only one set of actual employee schedules. This set was issued when the center city commuter tunnel was first opened. Unfortunately, some services, such as West Chester and Ivy Ridge via Cynwyd had already ceased. It should be noted, however, that there was a lot more Cynwyd service than there is today. Also, notice how the Trenton service reflects some of the service that still exists today.

Ok everyone, I know it’s been a while since I made a post. I’m currently working on a set of Septa schedules from the 1980’s. I am waiting until I have the entire set done before I post them.

Here are many of the schedules that Amtrak had issued in the fall of 1991. Notice the many routes that no longer operate today. When I dug this set of schedules out of my collection, there were a few routes, such as the Gulf Breeze and the River Cities, which I never even knew about.
